I am a descendant of John Crews b abt 1730 in this area. I have been sent information stating that John Crews was the son of a David Crews & Mary Stanley of New Kent County, VA. This info came from others researching the line who seem quite convinced. Lately I have been researching other lines in the Bedford County area. The Lunneburg Co.,tithe books show a Richard & John Crew in 1750 & 1751. 1752, lists John Crews. 1764 lists a John, John Jr. & David Richard, Josiah, & Joseph Crews. It looks like everything fits but still needs some work.
