Searching for origin of Crews family that my gg grandfather is from. His name was Isaac Crews, b 13 June 1834 (the middle initial appears to be J., but old records are so hard to read, this may not be correct). Isaac married Roady Ann Myrick on 07 August 1850. They had the following children: Mary Elizabeth Crews b 1857 (married John Green Watkins), William D. Crews, b 1859, James W. Crews, b 1860 and Andrew Charles Ethelder Alexander Peter Rolan Crews (what a name!) b 1863. I do not know where Isaac and Roady were married or even where they lived and raised their family. We do know that at least 3 of the children ended up in TN, one in Carroll Co (at Vale), one in Benton Co (at McKenzie), and one in Henry Co. We have always thought that the Crews family came from NC or VA, but we are not certain. Any help in locating the family line that my ancestors belong to would be so appreciated!! P Carlson
