Hi, John D. Crews born in 1790 was my GGG Grandfather. According to our Family Group Record, he was married in 1814 to Elizabeth Johns, they had 10 children, Isham D., Delila, Martha, Washington, John, Elizabeth, Marquis L., James M., Queen Ann V., George W.

He died in 1863 and is burried in the Crews cemetery which was established January 13, 1863. The cemetery is located 4 miles north of Samson Alabama.

He received Land Grants in Alabama from Presidents, Grover Cleveland, James Buchanan, and Martin Van Buren. I have copies of the original signed Certificates.

I have been looking for the names of his Dad and Mom but have been unable to find them. According to family tales, they originated in South Carolina but I have no supporting information.

If you find them I would love to have their names.
