Bill, I am going to list some of our Crews marriages but not all on this message: David Crews m Drusilla Jones 12-29-1790 Halifax Co. He died in 1834 PatrickCo,Va. John Crews m Elizabeth Samson, 1-2-1797 Halifax Co.,Va. William Owen m Tabitha Crews, 12-19-1781, Lunenburg Co.,Va. They were in Monroe Co.,Ky. near my David Morton Crews Sr. for about 2 years then moved to Illinois. Richard Crews m.(2)Susannah Jones, 11-24-1795, Halifax Co.,Va. He moved to Halifax Co. at that time. James Monroe m Sally Crews, 9-11-1794, Lunenburg Co.,Va. Joseph Crews m. Polly Elder, 6-18-1792, Campbell Co.,Va. Andrew Crews m Henrietta "Ritter"Bradley, 11-28-1792, Halifax Co. John Crews m Ruth Hunt 12-22-1789 Halifax Co. Thomas Hunt m Dorothy Vaughn, 3-22-1765 Sussex Co.,Va. They were Ruth's parents. Francis Calloway m Polly Crews 12-21-1799, Campbell Co.,Va. Nicholas Crews m Dawcella Patterson 11-4-1783, Campbell Co.,Va. Bedford Co.,Va. Marriages: 1795,1,26. John Crews m Lucy Hardwick. Robert Hardwick, Surety. Married by Heremiah Hatcher on Jan 29th. This is Capt David Crews and Annie McGahea's son who was killed in the War of 1812. (Many people connect my David M.Crews Sr. to Capt David Crews' son, Jeremiah, who married Elizabeth Harlan in 1788 in Madison Co.,Ky. but they are not my ancestors. Jeremiah moved to Vigo Co.,Indiana, and only one son, John, is known. I know this is true because I tried to join the Society of Boonesboro, Ky. and could find no proof at all.) We are from Redman Crews of Charlotte/Halifax Cos.,Va. Proof is that Redman owned land in Cumberland and Barren Cos.,Ky., and lived next to my David Morton Crews and David named his first son, Redman, and Redman Crews owned land next to David's wife's family in Cumberland Co. David Crews Sr. also named his son, William, William Redman Crews. I think that is enough proof, don't you? Elaine
