Hello, Martha, There was an Isaac Crews that belonged to our Crews family in Va. I do not have all the children of Redman Crews (b1765-1833) and he had 16 children. They would be the right age to be the father of your twins born in 1830. I descend from Redman's son, David Morton Crews Sr., born 12-18-1789 in Ky. David had an older brother, George Crews, who married in 1820 and had no children in the census. He moved to Carroll Co.,Tenn. with his father and he raised Redman's youngest two children, Benjamin, who was 9 in 1832, and Barbara, was 7 in 1832, when Redman applied for his Rev. War Pension in Carroll Co.,Tenn. It appears that Redman was married twice or three times and he had no wife in 1832. He fought in SC, was born in Charlotte Co.,Va., and was injured during the war. By trade, he was a blacksmith. I am interested in John King. A John King was active in Hawkins Co.,Tenn. very early in land along the Holston and Clinch Rivers. I don't know if this helps you or not but if the names are familiar in your family line we should keep in touch. Crews is my mother's maiden name. Elaine Rowland
