Mrs. Frances Crews Atkins, 94, of Winston-Salem died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Dec. 11, 1911, in Forsyth County to Charles Lee and Lizzie Beeson Crews. She was a member of Crews United Methodist Church, where she attended as long as her health permitted. She was retired from the Fabric Center. Mrs. Atkins was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wilbur Atkins. Surviving are a son, Charles Atkins, of Rougemont; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 17, at Crews United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Hall Building Fund of Crews United Methodist Church, 4150 Reidsville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Vogler & Sons Main Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
