The Josiah Crews, Campbell Co.,Va. you mentioned is the seventh child of John Crews - the saddler (all our records show a spelling of sadler) and his wife, Peggy Thompson. Josiah m. Mary (Polly) Roystern according to information I have.. no dates...

I have the names of all the children in each generation along with their wives. There is a Richard in each generation with the exception of the last two. For that reason, I believe we belong to the Richard that you show being born around 1728. I would guess that John - the saddler, is his son.
I was born the youngest of four boys in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
I'll check the local and Phoenix libraries for the "Sunlight on the Southside". Your tithe records would be appreciated. Amazing how much history you learn by doing this sort of thing!
By the way, my wife is from Wichita and our daughter lived in Garden City for a period of time where her husband was the assistant city manager. Small world.
