Your line is mentioned in "My Kinsfolk" by Laura Crews. She thinks his name is really JOHNSON "JOHN" CREWS and that his father was a JOHN CREWS. Which one I don't know.

Your dates and places check out with hers. What else do you want to know? I'm not sure I have anything you don't have, but I can look.
