I am researching the Andrew Crews-Ritter Bradley line as well. I wonder if either of you believe there is a possibility that the Halifax Co Crews were cousins of the Redmon Crews line. As I understand it, the family story was that the Andrew Crews line was in Tennessee before moving into Barren Co KY and on to Wayne Co. In addition, I have seen the story of a descendant in the Andrew Crews family who stated that Andrew came into Wayne County with two cousins and his sister. Who would those two cousins be? Or did this gentleman get the generations mixed up? Apparently one of the Crews descendants in a Wayne Co biography stated that he was descended from John Crews of South Carolina. Something in that story struck me as possibly suggesting some sort of family relationship with the lost John Crews. Have either of you explored this possibility at all?
I'd like to know what you think.
