BUTLER Wm. s/o Thomas Cleyborne & Sarah SMYTHE/SMITH Sarah was the Widow JAMES Thomas s/o Thomas Cleyborne/Claiborne b. 1525 There is a book called Thomas Bell: Ulster Scot To South Carolina and Allied Families, compiled by Rufie Lee Williams copyright 1984 It contains a wealth of information on this line of CREWS, CLAIBORNE, GOOCH and desc's. It's in the Library of Congress and I'm sure in many public libraries, but I can't tell you where. You might try Inter- Library loan. On Ursula it says that John RUDDUCK left his ch., John & Jane, orphans at an early age. John was bound out to learn the hatters trade. Somtime after the marriage of Ursula & John RUDDUCK, they left NC and stopped for awhile on the Clinch River in TN and then moved on to KY and later Clinton, OH. Another move was made to Warren Co, OH, where John RUDDUCK died - date unknown. Ursula and at least 2 of her ch. moved on to St. Joseph Co, IN where they lived the rest of their lives. Ursula CREWS RUDDUCK d. 7 Aug 1847 age almost 69 yrs. Buried in Sumption Prairie Cem. There are at least 2 gen's. of desc. in the book.
