Hi Julie:
As I said before, I descend from George W. Crews (1848). I have seen the two George's as sons of John D. and Elizabeth: I wonder if the first son died and they named another the same? or if indeed they had two George W.'s running around the house at the same time? Could one be adopted? Do you know what the W. stould for in my George's middle name? My line goes from George W. to Henry Calvin "Bose" to Lunie Thomas to my mother to me. Henry Calvin and Lunie Thomas were both loggers/sawmillers in Geneva and Dale Co., AL and north Florida. Henry Calvin moved to Ponce de Leon, FL when timber got scarce in south AL; he also ran Ponce de Leon Springs for a while.

Eddie
