Madison County, Crews!!

Attention all Madison County, Crews researchers. There has been a lot of incorrect info out there concerning the Madison County, circuit court case Crews vs. Crews. A book written by a Mr. Dorris reported that the case concerned a landswap between David Crews and his brother John. This was incorrect. The John Crews mention in the case was actually David's son. The only Crews mentioned in the case who was not a child of David was Anderson Crews and his relationship was not clarified. Many researchers have presumed that Thomas Crews, Sr. (b 1760) of Madsion County, KY was the son of non existant brother John of David Crews. Obvious those of us descended from Thomas will need to start from square one. Also, I was wondering what independant evidence is there that David Crews (1740-1821) was the son of David Crews and Mary Stanley? Was David in Bedford County, VA? Also someone reported that a Thomas and Susannah Crews are mentioned in 1780s land records for Henry County, VA. Anyone have info on that? Help would be greatly appreciated!
