Thanks for your reply, I'd almost given up :))
Of course Forest Hill & Forest Gate are in different areas of London (Forest Gate is next to Leytonstone, east of the East End, toward Essex). However I cant trace back quite as far as you & I dont know where my grandfather was born. If you come across a Sarah Hymore or Harry Cresswell who had offspring including Sydney, George & Edith Cresswell then we have a link.
