A Cresswell and I am stuck and looking for some help!

I am researching my family tree and have hit a snag. Here is the lineage so far:

Andrew Cresswell (b. 1970)
Anthony Cresswell (b. 1937) - Nottingham, England
Arthur Cresswell (b. 1908) - Nottingham, England
William Cresswell (b. 1873) - Nottingham, England
George Cresswell (b. ?) - Nottingham, England

George is the snag. He was married to Maria Scattergood, but can't find out anything more. George was listed as 56 in the 1901 census.

I am looking for relations, or additonal information that can get me out of the jam! Thanks!
