Yes, this is my Abraham Creson.He arrived in the Yadkin Valley about 1748, bought land, which at that time was in Anson County.A couple of years later, Rowan was split off from Anson, so he was in Rowan.Then, in 1770, Surry was split off from Rowan. He never moved, the county boundaries kept changing.He had probably the first store near the Shallow Ford where travelers coming down the Great Philadelphia Wagon Road cross the Yadkin River.Town of Huntsville was carved out of the Abraham Creson estate.
Name of his first wife unknown, but his second wife was Mary Williams Furches, a widow.
