Ah, thank you. That was one of the possibilities entertained in my mind. But the Cressman Family Association claims it is also a variant of Croessmann, a family of immigrants who came to Pennsylvania in the 17 and 1800's. I guess I'll have to dig deeper to find find the origin of my own. Notify Administrator about this message?
