Fronica -

Yes I have some info on her ancestors. She was the 11th child of Johan Nicholas Cressman and Susannah Shanholtz. Johan Nicholas was born 17-Sep-1730 New Providence, Montgomery County, PA died 1812 bur. Lutheran Church Trappe, Montgomery Co., PA.

If you are in the area or can be on July 22, 2000. The Cressman reunion will be held in Quakertown, PA at the West Swamp Mennonite Church just west of Quakertown, PA. Quakertown is just sounth of Allentown, PA.

I only have this info in book form not on my computer so it is a little harder to keep the records straight. I hope this helps. This family definetly traces back to Pfungstadt, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany.

The Cressman family is thought of as one of the founders of Lutheranism in America by the fact that they signed a letter that was sent to halle, Germany requesting a German Pastor. henry Mepchior Luhlenburg is who was sent and thus, Lutheranism was born in America.

Rich
