My great great grandfather was Peter W. Cress, his father was Eli H. Cress son of Phillip A. Cress son of Tobias Cress who was son of Johann Nicholuas Kress (he is the first Kress/Cress in my lineage to come to America) so Im not sure how accurate it is but there is a book on johann nicholuas kress the shows his descendants for 5 generations and leaves off with my great grandfather's father Peter W. Cress (1870-???) which I know he had 3 sons and 1 daughter with Mary Whitten.
