This Joseph Crenshaw you have posted on here is a completely different Joseph:
My Joseph, the son of Thomas Crenshaw of Isle of Wight Co., VA, was a landholder in Edgeconbe Co., NC, by 1738, along with his brother John Crenshaw, and then in Amelia and Lunenburg Cos., VA.
He had close associations with the families of Abraham and Benjamin Cook, and with Robert Duke, the latter first seen in Amelia Co., VA in 1746. The Cook's, Crenshaw's and Duke's moved to Lunenburg Co., VA in 1751-2, where Joseph and his wife Sarah (MacAllister( Crenshaw had land on Butcher's Creek.
