I have abit of info. on your Joseph M. Kelley who married Martha E. Crenshaw through research on the Crenshaw family. Both Joseph and Martha are buried at the Neville Cemetery in Oconee County, S. C.His grave has a CSA marker. They had ten children:
Lenora Bell born Sept. 1874, Charles B. born in May 1876,
Walter (or Waller) C. born in Sept. 1878, Lillie D. born in Sept. 1879, William H. born in Jan. 1880, Ida V. born in Oct. 1884, Katie E. Born in June 1887, Samuel born in July 1889, Mary M. born in Jan. 1891, and Louisa b. Oct. 1892. They were married around 1874.
I found them in the 1880 and 1900 Oconee County census records. You might want to check Pickens County census records for 1850 and 1860 to see if you can find Joseph's parents.Hope this helps.
