i am the caregiver for a 90-year-old lady named cora ann cremeans anderson, whose father was named william harvey cremeans. could she be the cora you mentioned? her brother was named herbert and her sister mary, called may. both of them have been dead for some time. cora tells me that her mother died when she was small and that her father married a woman named mary (which was why cora's sister went by may); they lived in alabama when she was young.
the only difference is that cora never lived in texas. her late husband, victor anderson, was originally fron texas or okalahoma (not sure which), but they met and married in 1944 in washiington state, moved to california, had one son, victor elon, who is still alive, with several children and grandchildren.
there are far too many corresponedences in your description for this to be a coincidence. i believe you are cora's great-niece. she lives in san leandro, california and has been bedridden for several years, but is quite alert, and a delightful person to work for. i'll tell her about this post and i'm sure she will be tickled.
