Close, but I don't think we're dealing with the same person. My "Aunt Polly" (my ggggrandmother) was born June 23, 1808 and died May 19, 1874 (according to her tombstone). She was said to be born in TN, but was married in AR sometime between January 1, 1821 and February 21, 1832 (most likely earlier in that time period than later as they are listed on page 14, and definitely before 1826 when their first child was born). Her name was listed as CREABY on the marriage list, but we always believed it to be CREELY (or Creeley). She married David WYLDS and they had about 10 children--at least 6 lived to adulthood.

What about your lady's daughter? Did she by any chance move to AR? Did your Steakley family move to AR? There were other CREELY's in AR that I believe were related to my "Aunt Polly". It would be nice to make a connection, but this one doesn't seem like it will work. Thanks for writing.
