I am James Adolphus Owens eldest daughter and would like to respond to your posting. "There are no copies of this book available." At this time, there are no hard copies of the book available. We, as Mr. Owens' family, are working to make copies available in the near future. "Several years ago, I wrote his widow in an attempt to get her to release the copywright and she would not answer my letter. I was informed, indirectly, that she wanted nothing to do with the Creel family nor the genealogy work." I can only assume you meant that she DID not answer your letter, not that she WOULD not. And I'm not sure where you got your information that my mother wanted nothing to do with either the Creel family or the genealogy work, but you were misinformed on both counts. I would prefer that before posting "indirect" information as fact in a public forum you would make sure that it is correct. "There are numerous errors in his work." You make this claim but do not elaborate on what the errors are. It would be helpful for anyone researching the Creel family and possibly using "Anywhere I Wander" as a resource to post the corrections to these errors on this forum. That being said, when copies of "Anywhere I Wander" are printed, I will put a post on this forum. Lorena S. Owens Forest Hills, New York Notify Administrator about this message?
