Copies of this book and the Creel Family Quarterly are available at the Family History Library, Salt Lake City, UT. They are also in the Library of Congress and Stamford Univ.(in Birmingham, AL) Owens placed other copies, but I don't recall just where they are....in public libraries as I recall. There are no copies of this book available.

Several years ago, I wrote his widow in an attempt to get her to release the copywright and she would not answer my letter. I was informed, indirectly, that she wanted nothing to do with the Creel family nor the genealogy work.

Owens' collected work is at Stamford Univ. in Birmingham, as I remember. This is a sectarian school and the librarian I contacted told me I would have to go through a complicated process to gain access to Owens' work.

Numerous digitized copies of all his publications are in existence and traded as "bootleg" material...the copywright is still in effect and won't end until 74 years after Owens' death.

There are numerous errors in his work. However, his work is still monumental for the time he lived....no internet to help his search and no collaboration to help find errors. If you should go to the Family Hisory Library, make sure you do a search for "Creel". There are numerous deposits there, one with some 13 gigabytes of digitized data on the Creel family.
