Well, Well, Well. There really are Creeks in the world.
This forum is a great idea since I've had no luck finding Creeks any other way.
I'm sorry I can't answer your question, John, but I did want to let you know that in my family, it was also understood that the name Creek originated from an American Indian tribe by that name. Especially since we supposedly have ancestors coming from there.
However, my mother also told me that we had a Pennsylvania Dutch background and I could never figure out from where. So now I know.
Well, I've seen some names that I know on the message board, so I'm going off to see what they say.
