Maybe your great grand father Edmund Creed and my great grandfather,Frank Creed,were brothers.Frank's parents were Solomon and Elizabeth Creed of Baltonsborough, Somerset.Solomon was born in 1794. Solomon and Elizabeth had 6 children_Marianne b:1831,Edmund b:1833, Samuel b:1837, Frank b:1841, Eliza b:1844 and Ellen b:1851.
Solomon's farm at Baltonsborough was named "Southwood". Our Edmund migrated to America in 1884 and,according to my late mother,Edmund never married. His brother Samuel(also never married)migrated to Australia in 1884and purchased a farm near Terang, Victoria which he named "Southwood".Samuel died in 1889 and is buried in the Terang cemetery.In 1897 my great grandfather,Frank,and his 3 unmarried sons- Fred, Syd and Bert came to Australia to run the farm. Only Fred remained in Australia, the others all returned to Baltonsborough.Fred then married in Australia and I am his grandson. Awaiting a reply from you, Jim Sawyer
