I believe we've spoken before .... a new development (to me) re: Nancy Fields who married Mortimer Creech, Daniel's father. I have been told the marriage was bogus, that Mortimer had been married when he married Nancy Fields. In any event, I looked on the 1840 census and four houses down from Mortimer Creech in Harlan County, Kentucky is an Isaac Fields, who had a 10-15 year old daughter. In 1850, Isaac Fields had moved to Letcher, Kentucky and his oldest daughter was 19. I am of the opinion this could be Nancy Fields' family. Any thoughts?
