Creech Family Cemetery In Leslie County, KY

I recently visited what used to be the Creech Family Farm in Leslie County, Kentucky. I had always heard that several members of my Creech Family were buried there on the old farm. We found more than 30 graves on a hillside. These graves are hard to get to and covered with poison ivy...low lying tree limbs and most likely snakes. Here is who we found.
Benjamin Franklin Creech born around 1843 died 1874.
Ben is son of Elisha Creech from Harlan County.

His wife Rachel Jane Feltner who was born around 1854 died 1905. She was also married to George Begley and to Asher men after Ben Creech died. There son Elisha Creech is buried there. He died as a teenager from gunshot wound. He was about 17.

Rachel Jane Feltner's parents...Russell Feltner and Polly Begley are there with markers that can't be read...and her grandparents.........Henry Feltner and Jane Baker are there. both listed to be born around 1797. There are many unmarked graves that are probably much older. I have a feeling Ben Creech's father ..Elisha Creech is buried there as well.

There are also several Wootens buried there. Down the hill my Aunt Mary Polly Creech Muncy and Her husband Johnny Muncy are buried.

This was quite a find. Not sure if anyone here is interested in this Creech line....if you are....it was worth it's weight in gold climbing the hill and dodging poison ivy to find it.
