I am related to this line of Creech's as well. My family's last name is Shipley. My father Jesse Hubert shipley born Oct. 12,1925 Whitesburg,TN to G.H. Shipley a.k.a. (George Hubert Shipley b.4/1/1890 Russellville,TN (Dover Community)d-Jan 28, 1962 Morristown- buried in Bethesda Cemetary,)and (Ophelia Lucinda Caldonia Martha Dodson Shipley,aka. Lucinda Cladonia Dodson, Ophie, Opha ,Oppa and O.L.C. also Mrs G.H. Shipley of Whitesburg,TN b. 10/28/1892, died 11/14/1976-Bethesda Cemetary.) Their children (Ruth Shipley buried in Creeches Chapel Cemetary),((Reuben Robert Shipley,buried Tazwell,TN-cem.Knoxville). (Agnes Louise Shipley Pendergrast b.Bethesda Cemet.Morristown,TN,)(George H. My mother's father was Benjamin Franklin Johnson. B. 1916. Va. son of John Logan Johnson b.April 16,1854 Lee. Co.- Va married to Elizabeth (Lizzie) Sizemore b.April 18,1888-Scott Co. VA related all the way back to George All Sizemore,Old Ned , RedBird Smith etc...WhiteTop Mtn. Laurel Cherokee, Eastern Blackfoot( Eastern Piedmont Sioux- Saponi, Eastern Band Cherokee, Kituwah.... Etc... Benjamin Franklin Johnson married Reva Eurseil Johson thus the girls were born- my mother Fay and her identical twin RevFlo Johnson
Opha Dodson Shipley- (My paternal gma) her mothers name was Margret/Maggie Long married to John Henry Dodson, Her mother was Malissa/Melissa/Milissa Creech married to Pleasant Long. I am interested in any info. anyone may have about this Creech ,Shipley, Dodson,Long ,Johnson,Birchfield/Burchfield,Acuff, Arcoren,Sizemores-etc.... Line of people especially any Native American information would be helpful. My Paternal grandmother always said we were Native American and she showed me many "Old Ways" of doing Things with Animals,herbs, medicines etc...Would like to reconnect with any relatives or ancestors .
