I am just going to address one part of your post about William Creech. The William Creech, known as "Uncle Will" not "Uncle Billy", who gave the land for the PMS, is not the same person as your William Robert Creech. Also he donated the land and didn't sell it to the government. The PMS William was the son of Joseph Creech and Polly Campbell and he married Sally "Aunt Sal" Dixon.
As a suggestion, you might consider researching your nearest generations first thoroughly to prove the identities of same and their children, before tying to move on past that to more remote times in either the U.S. or Scotland.
