Hello Ed Thank you for your reply. The earliest I can trace the Crean name to is my g-g-grandfather, Patrick Crean b.1828. Possibly he is related to your Michael in that I imagine they all attended St. Mary's. Can I ask if you wrote Fr. Crean directly? We plan to go to Kerry next Spring and I've been reluctant to trouble any of the Parish Priests by mail. I figured I would visit the church directly. Patrick Crean married Mary_______? whose family was/is a local grocer in Ballinira (Castlegregory). The Crean family had it for one generation. Then, through marriage, it has belonged in the Dowd family ever since. My sister visited the proprietor this summer but he has no knowledge about the Crean family (just that it was the name of his greatgrandfather) Again thank you for your response. I wish I knew more to connect the families. Erin O'Sullivan Jennings Notify Administrator about this message?
