Eileen, All I have found out so far is the following:- My great-great-grand-aunt (Mary Donohue of Kilcummin, Castlegregory) married a John Crean from the Castlegregory area. Baptisms for family of John Crean and Marie (Mary) Donohue were: Michael - Baptised on 13th February 1840,(died young) Joannes (John) - Baptised on 20th November 1842 Michael - Baptised on 8th March 1846 (custom then to rename the next child the same name as one that died. Petrus (Peter) - Baptised on 8th July 1849. John was a witness at the marriage of my great-great-grandmother Catherine O'Donoghue to Daniel Flaherty on the 4th December 1845. A ? Crean was a witness at the marriage of my great-grandmother Catherine Flaherty to Patrick O'Connor on the 25th January 1883 at Castlegregory. A Joan Crean who married Flynn was a 2nd cousin to my grandfather. Peter Crean (Kilcummin) married a Johanna Fitzgerald from ?. They had a daughter Catherina who was baptised on the 29th November 1874. A Hanora Crean married a Mauritius (Maurice) O'Donnell of Cloharee, Cloghane. Their children were Maria (22-12-1837); Joannes (John) (28-6-1843); Ellena (Ellen) (13-6-1847); Catharina (Catherine) (4-6-1849)- born in Cloharee; Honora (1-3-1852); Mauritius (17-2-1856). According to the 1852 Griffith's: there was a John Crean renting a house from Timothy Connor at Kilcummin More, Castlegregory. That is all the information I have so far. Regards, Mary
