I have some information relating to Cornelius J. Crean, of Holyoke Mass., whose parents were James J. Crean (born in Chickopee Mass. Jan. 22, 1857), and Mary Wilmot (born in Greenpoint, Long Island, Feb. 20, 1866) [ Cornelius' sister Mary, was latter married to Charles S. Zack, to whom I am related]. I have a WW1 history entitled "The History of the Yankee Division", that was owned by Cornelius Crean in which he had written his own personal record of his military service (it appears as if the book were either given or sold to veterans with the last dozen or so pages being left to be filled out by the soldier, entries such as name address etc. and finishing with Assignments, which ship took them from the U.S. to England, battles, wounds, etc.) Although a lot of the writing is faded and hard to decipher if anyone is interested in this information I will try and email it.
