Hello, Kate. Thank you sooooo much for this information. The first paragraph is not ours, but some of the others do refer to us. Another person sent me the answer to your question. I could not find the family after 1860 either. Napolean Crean in 1860 somehow became CRANE in 1870. I guess we have to look under various spellings, but later they were Crean again! I think this has something to do with the sound of the pronunciation. Whoever wrote it down in the census just sounded it out and spelled it their own way. The references to Charles, William, Catherine (Kate), James and Thomas are ours. They are the children of Napolean and Ann Crean/Crane. Thanks so much for your help.
