Dear Leonard, Thank you for your reply to the posting that I made of my book, "Green Is The Valley, Blue Are The Hills." As stated in my original announcement, the purpose of my book was to try to impart some feeling or appreciation for the person who happened to live under a certain family name no matter what that family name might happen to have been. Consequently, one of my family names fell within this particular family forum. Therefore, my goal was to try to move the human spirit in such a way so as to impart some feeling towards that person who happened to carry my family name because they were, in reality, my own flesh and blood. I hope that I have achieved my goal. As for your question as to whether or not I have a family tree online, my answer is no. On the other hand, I do have a family chart of the Creans or Crehans that can be traced back from present day County Tipperary to 1690 AD when the original O'Creans were located in County Sligo. Much of this information; that is, family members along with date of birth and date of death has been transferred by another individual to one of the family tree makers sites, but you will have to search for it. As you have already surmised, it is a matter of happen chance that the name had undergone various spellings for one reason or another and I hope that will not deter others from exploring the various possibilities for the spelling of their own family names. In other words, please keep an open mind. I hope that you enjoyed reading my book. God Bless, Tom Crane
