Mary, Thanks so much for your reply. Truthfully, I just learned my Gr Grandmother's name was Ann(e)! That was enough to bring me to tears (I'm a sap). I never knew her name before. That info was provided by a person kind enough to look thru 1900 census for me. I'm grasping at straws now, I know. I'm waiting for the SocSec application of my Great Aunt Liz (Ann and Jerry's daughter). I know I'll learn a lot from that. I'm wondering if I have the patience for this; I want to know everything Now. The same person who looked thru the census is sending me a hard copy. I'm hoping there will be more info than what she emailed me. From what I know now, both merely listed their birthplace as Ireland. I also found a "Headstone Hunter". She'll be going to Salem, NJ for me. I gave her all the dates of birth I knew and she seemed very optimistic. I've learned the old Irish often listed the wife's maiden name. If I could just learn the county either one was from, I would gladly search every parish in it! Thanks so much... Mary Notify Administrator about this message?
