I am trying to track down the town or parish of birth of my great grandfather Daniel Crean.
He was born in 1834 (give or take 1 year) in County Kerry,
Ireland. I believe it was in or near Tralee.
His mother's maiden name is Catherine Flinn.
His father's given name was Jno or John.
He served in the 93rd Highlander Regiment (for the British), I believe in the Crimean War.
He emigrated to Australia for a land grant in an unknown year.
In Australia he married Bridget O'Callaghan in 1879.
He died in Terang, Victoria, Australia in 1890 at the age of 56.
Can anyone fill in the blanks for his Ireland years for me????
