I do not have conclusive proof, but it is my theory that, based on what I do know, it is more than likely that Lucy Craze was a full-bloodied (or at least 1/2) Cherokee.I sent to NARA for the the application where one of her grandchildren (several applied) had applied for admission to the Guion Miller Eastern Cherokee Indian Roll of 1909.He was denied because he couldn't give detailed info. (He was only 11 when his father died.)He stated that his parents (note plural) and grandparents had passed for whites and had never lived with the Cherokee tribe.This, of course, is not conclusive since they were applying for government funds!! However, based on what I know from my own family, it is highly likely.
