Hey Nancy,
Thanks for such a quick reply. After a year I didn't know if this topic would still be active.Interesting and helpful information and I thank you.
After my original post, I found the will of Thomas, Mary, Samuel, and Mary T. on a Craton related web site(http://www.automatedlogic.com/craton.nsf). The copy of the Thomas Crayton will matches your data. However, it leaves me with a confusion. because the typed copy of the will contained in a September 1969, Edition 2 booklet calledOur Craton Heritage (from our Craton/Gurley reunion) is the same except for different language in two key places:
Item 1st. reads, in part, 'I give and bequeath unto my three children William I., Eliza and Samuel Crayton, five'---etc.
Item 7.reads in part ----'to ;my interest until my son Samuel Craytons time is up with Sherman and Company'-----etc.
This version would explain who this Thomas Crayton is, but which version is an accurate tuyping of the original?
Still 'Confused', but it may be a mute point since I have also discovered that Thomas Howell Crayton, ca 1780 is the ancestor of the Paulding County Georgia Cratons!
Bobby
