My gg-grandfather was John Crawford married Charlotte Hunter from Rutherford N.C. May 18 1803. They had a son George Washington born 7-26-1811 in N.C. My grandfather was also named George Washington Crawford. I'm thinking there is a connection with my family and yours there are to many names alike. Take for instance Charlotte Hunter and Mary Hunter and all the G.W's. My John and Charlotte moved to Ky. I find them listed on the 1820 census. Supposedly John's father was also a John and his father Samuel. I haven't any proof on any of the last two. If you have any info on this family I would appreciate hearing from you.
