Hi Tom:
John Paul Burnett was my father's first cousin. He married and had two sons, one I heard lives in Las Vegas. He allegedly committed suicide, but family members suspected murder. He is buried at Cedar Creek Cemetery at Sanderson. Sorry to have to be the bearer of sad news. I recognize the names you mentioned. My father was born in 1935 and I was born in 1961. I came to Reno in 2003 when I was hired at the EO/AA director at the University of Nevada, Reno. I love the West, but I do miss Florida. I haven't been back in years, but I am planning to visit in the near future. There were some other Burnett's in Baker County early on, but they didn't stay. My group has and John Paul's brother Earl is still living in Macclenny with his children also living there. The place has really grown so the next time you are there you might even get stuck in traffic!!! Take care and thanks for your help with the Crawfords.
