Carrie S. Craver
Carrie Swicegood Craver, 90, of Swicegood Road, Tyro, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Tyro United Methodist Church, where she was a member, by the Revs. Claude Kaylor and Tim Roberts. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Craver was born Sept. 22, 1913, in Rowan County to Devid Ransom Swicegood and Dora Elizabeth Coughenour Swicegood. She was a former employee of Dacotah Cotton Mill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Eugene Craver, in January 1983; two sons, Devid Lee Craver on July 3, 2003, and Johnny Clifton Craver on May 30, 1959; a great-granddaughter, Madison Ginn; three brothers, Woodson Swicegood, Glenn Swicegood and Foy Swicegood; and three sisters, Blanche S. Swicegood, Eva Foster and Ethel Fitzgerald.
Surviving are a son, Robert Eugene Craver and his wife, Eva, of Swicegood Road, Tyro; a daughter, Doris Ginn and her husband, Jack, also of Swicegood Road; a daughter-in-law, Judy Craver of Giles Road, Tyro; 10 grandchildren, Kim Rudzinski and her husband, Steve, Tammy Royall and her husband, Ken, Robbie Craver and his fiancee, Nikki, Lee Craver and his wife, Kelly, John Craver and his wife, Beth, Wendy Ellison, Steve Snyder, Al Ginn, Beth Hensley and her husband, Lee, and Dale Barrett and his wife, Laura; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at their respective homes.
Memorials may be made to Tyro United Methodist Church, 4484 S. N.C. Highway 150, Lexington, N.C. 27295.
