any cravens near Ipls, IN, 2001
In 1955 at the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis I saw plats ofCraven land in Indiana and there were state histories that included Cravens. My pre-1958 records were burned up in a warehouse fire.
My Cravens went to Morgan Co, IN, now Hendricks Co, IN and there were Cravens there as late as 1880.I am interested in Jacob Craven/Barker, his son Wm Murray born like 1800 and married(Amanda) Jane Barker. They reputedly were descended from a Peter Craven.
The brother of Jane Barker was Jeremiah Baker and the Beesons and Raines, Tilbury Reid (and maybe Moffett) were related, too.
If anyone is still lively enough to check this out at the state library, I will gladly send more specific details - preferably by snail mail.
Thank you for your consideration and courtesy.
