He is buried in old Craven Burying Ground about 1/4th mile SW of Johnsville, Bucks County, PA. Parents: Thomas & Emmettje (Isbrant) Craven. Jacobus married ca 1706 to Antje Iniart. Antje was born ca 1689 in NY or NJ and died in Bucks Co., PA. Parents: Gillis "Giles" & Trientie (Woggelom) Iniart. Place of Residence: According to 1708 Census, Jacobus, age 25, his wife Anna and dau. Elsie were residing in Staten Island, NY. Moved after January 30, 1725/6 to Warminister Township, Bucks County, PA where he bought a farm on 150 acres from William Stockdell. New York and Bucks County, PA. She died shortly after August 27, 1754 in Bucks County, PA. Catherine is the daughter of Peter Barentsen and Elizabeth Gabriele (Struldles) VanHorn. Catherine VanHorn, the first of 11 children of Peter and Elizabeth (Gabriels) VanHorn was baptized June 4, 1710 in Northampton Township, Bucks County, PA (Ref. Christian Barentsen Van Horn Family Records - Library of Congress.). Catherine was born June 4, 1739 in Bucks County, PA. Catherine died shortly after August 27, 1754, the date of her mother's Will in which she was named a devisee, as "daughter Katharine Craven". Thomas married 2nd Helenah Bennett, daughter of William and Charity (Suydam) Bennet of Northampton Township, Bucks County, PA. Helenah survived Thomas and died testate in Moreland Township, Montgomery County Oct. 11, 1802 age 82. Thomas Craven's Will dated 27 May 1797, stated he was "very aged", was proved August 5, 1799 in Warminister Township, Bucks County, PA. Thomas will named his wife Helen and sons James and Issac as executors. The first four children were by his first wife and the other six by his second. (Thomas Craven's Will was written has proven beyond doubt the identity that he was the son of Jacobus and Anna Inniart, instead of Thomas Craven, the brother of Jacobus Craven, who was approximately 20 years younger than his older brother. (Ref. Craven Family by Herman Wilson Craven. In his Will he devised: To my son William, my plantation and tract of 97 acres where he now lives, which I bought from Robert Noble; To my son Giles Craven - 50 pounds (to be paid by William); To my son James Craven my plantation and tract of 100 acres where he now dwells, which I bought from John Brooks; To my brother Giles Craven - 20 pounds due him on debt; To my son Giles Craven - 100 pounds (to be paid by James); To my son Isaac Craven, my Mansion house in which I now dwell and 103 acres of land which I bought of my father Jacobus Craven, also two adjoining lots of meadow land; To my son Giles Craven, 50 pounds (to be paid by Issac); to son Giles Craven 100 pounds from estate after wife's death. Whereas I have already given to my son Thomas Craven the sum of 700 pounds, that to be his share of the estate. My wearing apparel divided between my five sons. To my daughter Christiana - 50 pounds and at wife's death, estate to be settled and money divided to my five daughters, Ann, Catrin, Helen, Edith, and Christiana. The Will was dated 27 May, 1797. Lena (Helena) and Christiana. The daughter Edith, named in Thomas's Will was not named in his wife's Will, and the daughter Rose was named in Helen's will, but not in Thomas'. These two may be one and the same daughter. Giles Craven was not mentioned in his mother's Will although his death was recorded as two months after his mother's death.). On Page 133, of the Dutch Church Records of Staten Island (Ref. Vol. 1, "History of Genealogical Miscellany" by John E. Stillwell) is the entry of son, Abraham, baptized April 17, 1711. The parents were listed as "Jacobus and Annetye Kreven. Probably the Dutch spelling of the name "Craven". Abraham, Johannes and Christina were omitted by Harrison in "Settlers by the Long Grey Trail". It is possible they died young. Penn. Archives, William, Giles, Giles Jr. and James Craven were enrolled in Militia of Warminster Twp., Bucks Co., PA August 1775. In 1738 Jacobus purchased additional land and became a large landholder in Warminister Township, Bucks County, PA and in Moreland, Philadelphia County. Thomas Craven purchased the paternal farm in Warminister from the other heirs by deed of 1761. Most of the children and parents were buried in the old "Craven Burying Ground" about 1/4th mile southwest of Johnsville, Bucks County, PA. Jacobus Craven, a large landowner in Warminister Township, Bucks County, PA was a trustee of Neshaminy Presbyterian Church of Warwick in 1743.
