David CRAVEN 1806-1880 - Catherine Hart 1822-1882

  of 1856

As per my family bible; David CRAVEN married Catherine HART in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico on 17 April 1837. I would love to find a church record of their marriage. Catherine was of a devote Irish Catholic family so I assume that they were married in the local Catholic Church which would have been Nuestra Senora del Refugio de los Esteros. Has anyone information regarding this marriage.

Catherine was the daughter of Felix HART (b. in Ireland, d. in Texas about 1837) and Bridget CARRIGAN (b. in Ireland about 1800, d. in Texas about 1879).

The Widow Bridget CARRIGAN HART also was married in Matamoros about 1837-39 to a man named SMITH (no first name known). The couple had a son named Thomas who may have been baptized in the Matamoros Church.
