The Craven name was among those names brought to Britain when the Normans invaded in 1066 AD. The Cravens later came to America. With that in mind, you could make a case stating that the Craven ancestors are from Great Britain. However, the Normans came from that region in France, i.e. Normandy. So, you could also say that we Cravens descend from France, also.
