Judson J. Cranston, well known in St. Charles and Kane county, died suddenly Friday evening at a hotel in Chicago. He was found dead in bed.
Deceased was born in St. Charles township December 23, 1853 and was the son of a well known Kane county family. His father was Herman L. Cranston. His mother is living in California, one brother, Frank, is in Florida, and one sister, Mrs. Leslie Mach, resides at Dawson, Minn. The deceased also left a wife and three children - one son and two daughters.
Mr. Cranston was a member of Elgin lodge, No. 117, A.F. and A.M., and Masonic services were held at Bluff City cemetery Sunday.
Mr. Cranston had evidently returned from Minnesota and was in Kane county recently.
