Crann Family Genealogy Forum

Thanks Heather for the reply. My understanding is that the Crann name is somewhat unusual. I have the marriage certificate of Elizabeth Crann and William Croisdale, who was my grt grandfather. William Croisdale b 1848 is my grdfather who imigrated to Canada, in his diary he writes about his Mothers family in Leeds, the Crann family and Ralph Crann who was a musician in the Army, and played for Queen Victoria and also for her funeral. When checking the census of 1851 I find Edwin Crann, wife Jane, Sarah age9,Joseph age 5, Elizabeth age 1, Obviously Ralph was not born yet. There was another brother who did stained glass works. I'm sorry I would have to check thro the diary to find his name. I have not entered them in to my data base as I first want to find the birth cert ect. You can email me directly at jwcrois@telus.net I would be very interested in sharing information with you... James.
