Janet W. Crane
WASKOM, TX - Funeral services for Janet W. Crane, 51, of Waskom, TX will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2009, in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor David Rice of Crossroads Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.
Janet was born Decembr 11, 1957, in Sheveport, LA and passed away August 25, 2009, at Garden Court Nursing Center after a long battle with cancer. She was a 1975 graduate of Woodlawn high School and a 1977 graduate of Louisiana State University in Shreveport. Janet was an employee of Schumpert Medical Center for many years before joining the staff at Marshall Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Crane was a long time dedicated supporter of the Elysian Fields High School Band.
Survivors include her husband, Donnell Crane of Waskom; son, Stephen Crane of Shreveport; daughter, Amanda Crane of Shreveport; mother, Jewell Westcott of Waskom; sister, Judy Bartlett of Waskom; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday, August 28, 2009, from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Crisp, Chris Crisp, Clifton Harris, Chris Harris, Jerry Journey, and Larry Garrison.
The family would like to personally thank Dr. Susan Kemp and staff for their continued care and support. A special thanks also goes to the entire staff at Garden Court Nursing Center and Odyssey Healthcare for their care and services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colorectal Cancer Coalition, 1225 King St., 2nd Floor, Alexandria, VA 22314.
