Hi Laurie,
At the risk of sounding like a wet blanket I should point out that most queries regarding Crandell are posted to the CRANDALL forum. That's where the action is. You'll note that this Crandell forum has received only 63 messages since August 2000 and probably should be discontinued.
Over the years there have been more than forty ways of spelling this surname, so most researchers use CRANDALL to cover all variations.
The CRANDALL rootsweb list as opposed the the Genforum page
doesn't get a whole lot of activity either.
You also might want to look at the resources found on the Crandall Family Association website.
